Screwed: How to tackle problems in the industry
SCREWED is a project developed by the students in the Creative Entrepreneurship Introduction Lab. This module is the first of three Entrepreneurship modules in the B.A. Creative Industries Management.
Entrepreneurs need to find innovative ideas for market entry into a variety of fields. The student projects looked into the beverage market, the music industry, and the publishing field, and the problems within these industries. After going through a creative thinking process that makes sense of their own lived experience, and a structured analysis of the market, the context, and possible competitors, students suggest solutions to well-known issues and present their products via the medium of film. Students also developed the art work in the videos. Visual skills and visual literacy are also among the capacities creative entrepreneurs need.
The presentations were videotaped and produced under the direction of Howard Hunt, who is a professional in Film Directing and an entrepreneur in the gaming and tech industry.
